3 month update for #365Food
It’s been a very long time, and I’m still going. The past few days might have come out a bit messy though, but I’m totally cutting myself some slack because we’ve been very good during this vacation and right now I’m back where it all started. It started when I was in Belgium in April, where I got fed twice a day every day for 10 days. When I came home from my spring vacation my body wanted more of this goodness and also a decent sleep schedule. Along the way I decided I wanted to make this work long term because I know how good it would also be for my mental health. At the same time I wanted to waste a lot less food and money on food. Thus far it has been going very well, even though I could have been a lot tougher on myself, but I gotta live too.
Before this 3 weeks of vacation (2 weeks ago) started I had lost 4kg in 3 months, might not sound like much but for me it was a steady but slow way downwards and a stable life change instead of temporary weight loss. The next goal will have to be too actually keep the food and candy eating in check even with my partner and when we have vacations together. But baby steps.
On the side of the food project I also started to force myself outside of the house every day for some fresh air, that in most cases resulted in a bit longer walks a bike ride or swimming. It isn’t entirely connected with the food, but important to me non the less.
I’ve officially completed 1/4th of my goal, which feels really good! I could say that we screwed up yesterday but we were travelling all day and did eat lunch and something when we arrived, I was just way too tired for pictures.
I’m looking forward to the coming months of this project and what else I will learn about myself and food!
